Setting a Custom Card URL

Every card gets a unique link on the heydrop.me domain. By default this is a random slug (e.g. heydrop.me/vERsNybf0AHAf9). You can change this to a clean, branded URL like heydrop.me/jane or heydrop.me/john-smith.

How to set a custom URL

  1. Go to Cards in the left sidebar

  2. Click ⋮ on the card you want to update

  3. Select Edit card details

  4. Click the Card URL tab

  5. Enter the desired slug in the URL field — you'll see a preview of the full URL as you type

  6. Click Check availability to confirm the slug isn't taken

  7. Click Save

Tips for choosing a slug

  • Use the person's first name: heydrop.me/jane

  • Use first name + last initial: heydrop.me/janeds

  • Use name + company: heydrop.me/jane-acme

  • Keep it short and easy to remember

  • Lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only

Sharing the link

Once set, the card link is available from the Cards list and can be copied via ⋮ → Copy link. The custom URL also appears on the card's QR code and Wallet pass.
