Contacts: collect, add, edit, export and sync to iPhone

How HeyDrop collects contacts from your card, how to add and edit contacts, rate leads, export a CSV and sync contacts to your iPhone.

The Contacts tab lists everyone you've connected with, newest first and grouped by month. Each contact shows their name, date, company, location and lead rating.

How contacts get here

  1. From your card. When someone opens your card and taps Exchange contacts, or fills in Let's connect! if you use Collect contacts first, their details appear here straight away. They see "Details shared" and can save your contact too.

  2. AI Scanner. Scan a paper card or badge. See "AI Scanner".

  3. Manually. Tap Add New Contact → Add manually.

Collecting and storing contacts works on every plan.

Add a contact manually

Contacts → Add New Contact → Add manually, then fill in Full Name, Email, Phone number, Company, Job Title, Address and Where we met, and tap Save.

  • Lead Quality: tap 1–5 stars.

  • Send my business card to this contact: turns on automatically when you enter a valid email. The button changes to Save & Send Card and we email them your card. Turn it off if you only want to save them.

View or edit a contact

Tap a contact to see their details, the date you connected, quick buttons to email, call or message, and Lead Quality. Edit any field directly; changes save automatically.

Delete a contact

Tap ⋮ next to the contact and choose Delete. Deleting it in HeyDrop doesn't delete any copy already saved in your iPhone Contacts.

Export contacts (HeyDrop Pro)

Tap Export Contacts at the top:

  • Export to file (CRM-Ready): tap Download & Share to get a CSV file. Import it into HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive or a spreadsheet with their "Import contacts" feature.

  • Sync to iPhone contacts: tap Continue and allow access. HeyDrop then keeps adding your HeyDrop contacts (name, job title, phone, email) to your iPhone Contacts automatically. This is a one-way copy: changes or deletions in HeyDrop don't change your iPhone Contacts. To stop syncing, turn off iPhone Settings → HeyDrop → Contacts.

  • Integrate with your CRM (Beta): join the waitlist for direct CRM integrations by entering your CRM's name.

On the Free plan, export and sync open the upgrade screen.

Contacts from a company team

If you have a team card, you can share a contact with your company: turn on Make this contact available to my team when creating it. Company admins see team contacts in the Teams admin panel.
