Managing Your Contacts

How to view, add, export, and sync the contacts you collect through your HeyDrop card and AI Scanner.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Overview

The Contacts tab stores everyone who has connected with you — either by tapping "Exchange contacts" on your card, or anyone you've scanned with the AI Scanner. It's your personal networking CRM inside HeyDrop.

Viewing Your Contacts

Tap the Contacts tab (bottom navigation). Contacts are grouped by the month they were added. Each contact shows their name, date added, and a star rating. Tap any contact to view their full details.

Adding a Contact

Tap the + Add New Contact button (bottom right) and choose:

  • Use AI Scanner — scan a physical business card or event badge with your camera

  • Add manually — type in contact details manually

How Contacts Are Collected Automatically

When someone visits your card and taps "Exchange contacts", they're prompted to share their name, email, and phone. That info goes straight into your Contacts tab — no manual entry needed. You can configure this in Edit Card → Collect Contacts.

Exporting Contacts

Tap the Export Contacts button (top right of the Contacts screen). Choose an export method:

  • Export to file (CRM-Ready) — downloads a CSV file formatted for import into any CRM

  • Integrate with your CRM (Beta) — connect to HubSpot or another supported CRM

  • Sync to iPhone contacts — adds contacts to your native iPhone address book (Plus/AI Pro)

Syncing to iPhone Contacts

Available on Plus and AI Pro plans. When enabled, contacts collected via your HeyDrop card automatically sync to your iPhone's native Contacts app. Go to Export Contacts → Sync to iPhone contacts to enable it.

CRM Integration

If you're on a HeyDrop Teams plan, contacts captured via AI Scanner or your card's Exchange Contacts form can sync automatically to HubSpot. Set this up in the Teams web platform under Integrations → HubSpot. See the HubSpot Integration article for full setup instructions.

Star Rating

Each contact has a star rating (1–5). Use this to prioritize follow-ups. Tap the stars on any contact to rate them.
