Sharing Your Card

How to share your HeyDrop card in person and remotely — QR code, Apple Wallet, link, AirDrop, and more.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Opening the Share Screen

Go to the Cards tab and tap the blue Share Card button at the bottom. This opens all sharing options.

Sharing in Person

QR Code

Show the QR code on screen and ask the other person to point their camera at it. They'll be taken straight to your card. You can also save the QR to your photos: Share Card → Save QR to photos, then use it as your phone wallpaper or add it to presentations.

Apple Wallet (iOS) / Google Wallet (Android)

The fastest in-person share method. Add your card to Apple Wallet and pull it up with a double-tap of the side button — just like a bank card.

To add: go to Cards tab → 👜 Wallet button (under your card preview), or Settings → Add to Apple Wallet. Requires Plus or AI Pro plan.

AirDrop (iPhone to iPhone)

Tap Share Card → Send another way and select AirDrop. Bring your iPhone close to theirs — they'll receive your card link instantly. No app required on their end.

Offline Share

No internet? Toggle No Internet? Share Card Offline on the Share Card screen. This switches to a direct contact share that works without a connection.

Sharing Remotely

  • Copy link — copy your card URL (e.g. heydrop.me/yourname) and paste anywhere

  • Text your card — sends an SMS with your card link

  • Email your card — opens a pre-filled email with your card link

  • WhatsApp — share directly in a WhatsApp message

  • Messenger — share via Facebook Messenger

  • LinkedIn — share to LinkedIn

  • Send another way — opens the iOS share sheet for any other app

Your Card URL

Your card is always accessible at heydrop.me/[yourslug]. Anyone can open it in a browser — no app needed. You can customize your URL slug with a Plus or AI Pro plan. See the Custom Card URL article for details.

Open in Browser

From the Share Card screen, tap Open in browser to preview exactly what the other person sees when they open your card link.
