Apple Wallet & Google Wallet Cards

How to add your HeyDrop card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, access it, and customize the design.

Overview

Add your HeyDrop card to Apple Wallet (iOS) or Google Wallet (Android) and share it just like a bank card — no phone unlock required. This feature is available on Plus and AI Pro plans.

Adding to Apple Wallet (iOS)

There are three ways to add your card:

  1. Cards tab → tap the 👜 Wallet button under your card preview

  2. Settings → tap Add to Apple Wallet

  3. Share Card screen → scroll down → tap Add to Apple Wallet

Once added, your wallet card will appear in Apple Wallet below your bank cards.

Adding to Google Wallet (Android)

The same flow applies on Android. Your HeyDrop card will be saved as a pass in Google Wallet.

Using Your Wallet Card

  1. Double-tap the side button to open Apple Wallet

  2. Your HeyDrop card appears below your bank cards

  3. Show the QR code on screen — the recipient points their camera at it to view your card

What's on the Wallet Card

Your wallet card shows: company logo, company name, job title, full name, profile photo, phone, email, address, and a QR code.

Customizing the Wallet Card Design

Go to Cards → Edit → Apple Wallet Card section. From here you can:

  • Swipe through available designs and select your preferred style

  • Edit personal details, company details, logo, and brand colors

Note: Apple enforces its own design guidelines for wallet passes. Customization is limited to what Apple permits (colors, logo, layout).

You can also download the wallet pass directly via: api.heydrop.me/apple-pass/[yourslug]. If the download fails, open the URL in Safari on iPhone (not Chrome).

Teams Admin: Adding Wallet Cards for Team Members

In the Teams web platform, go to Cards list → ⋮ menu → Download Apple Wallet to generate a wallet pass for any team member's card.

A Note on NFC

Apple restricts NFC to contactless payment terminals — it cannot be used for phone-to-phone card sharing. Use your QR code or AirDrop for contactless in-person sharing instead.

Plan Requirement

Apple Wallet and Google Wallet are available on Plus and AI Pro plans. If you're on the Free plan, upgrade at Settings → Upgrade or at heydrop.app/upgrade.
